I had the same issue on Chrome.
Clear the browser cache and restart the browser. That should probably solve it. Let me know.
And I think this was probably because there was some update/maintenance work going on last week and maybe after that our browser was still caching the old version. I am not an expert on such things, but that's my guess.

I was having this issue as well. I couldn't upload a JPG to a recent post. For some reason it let me upload PNG of the same file.
@Anonymousposted about a hotfix to the site causing possible issues and that clearing the cache should remedy them. I will try that and see if it helps.
Thanks for the hints. That should just be part of my standard troubleshooting routine by now! Seems like it fixes a lot!
I did get my forum toolbar back BUT when clicking the Photos icon, I get the old uploader. No more option to paste images in. Have to have a URL for the photo or attach photos (which I've done here). Grr 🙂
Weird. After clicking "Post", I was asked to authenticate via my Microsoft-MFA-work-thingy. After that, the Photos uploader appears normal!
