Gallery Filtering

Hi All,

I have a SharePoint list that consists of 8 Categories and I would like to filter a gallery to show the Category so that when I click on it it will take me to a form consisting of only items associated with that category. Also if I add items to the SharePoint list in one of those categories or a new category then the form/gallery updates to show that new item. Currently, when I try to do this it just shows me the category the number of times it's in my SharePoint list. I want it to be Category 1, Category 2, ..., Category 8.

Hi @nvargas

It sounds like you are describing a one to many relationship. If so, it will be better to have two lists so that you can add new categories and also add items associated with that category. The items list should contain a number that is the id field of the category ideally called categoryid.  To see how to implement the relationship check out my blog post here
