Gallery. How to set view permission based on two lists?

I would like to achieve the following in my Gallery property:

If you are a sys-administrator, you see all invoices displayed in Gallery. Otherwise, if you are just an end-user, the Gallery will only display invoice(s) that associates with your name or your nominee's name(s).  Note that the nominee info is stored in a separate SharePoint list.

How do I add the following nominees line to my existing script?

LookUp('Invoice Nominees','Invoice Number'=Gallery.Invoice Number).NomineeName

Here's my existing script of the Gallery:

LookUp('Sys Admin List', StaffIDEmail = varUserEmail).StaffIDEmail),

'Invoice List',
"Invoice Number",
Invoice Number,
'Invoice List',
Primary_x0020_Holder_x0020_Name = varUserName

Thank you for your assistance.

Sorry @CNT , I really don't want to be the pain, I've asked a few of my nominees to try the App but they are now getting the following errors.  Whichever line I used throws the same errors.

Primary_x0020_Holder_x0020_Name in ShowColumns(Filter('Invoice Nominees','Invoice Number'='Invoice Number'),"NomineeName")

Primary_x0020_Holder_x0020_Name = LookUp('Invoice Nominees','Invoice Number'= 'Invoice Number').NomineeName

Would you happen to know how to resolve this?flow issue4.jpg

@Australia No worries! Let's debug it.

Put only the LookUp and Filter bits in the OnSelect() of 2 separate Buttons and hardcode the invoice number. Click on these Buttons and see what happens. Are you getting any runtime errors? If not, highlight the entire code to reveal the results. Are they correct?

Thank you @CNT. I've forgotten to mention that these errors appear as soon as a nominee opens up the App. The Gallery is on the landing page.

Here's the OnSelect of

LookUp button: LookUp('Nominees List',"2021/001"= "2021/001").NomineeName

Filter button: Filter('Nominees List',"2021/001"="2021/001")

I just asked a nominee to click both buttons, nothing happened. No error messages or anything.

@Australia Try this in the dev studio and see if this LookUp and Filter return the desired results. You can set it up to be assigned to some variables and see the results in these variables.

LookUp button: Set(tmpVar1, LookUp('Nominees List',"2021/001"= "2021/001").NomineeName)

Filter button: Set(tmpVar2, Filter('Nominees List',"2021/001"="2021/001"))

Thank you @CNT .  I may have to resume testing tomorrow as my nominee has left for the day. 😞
Or is it something I could test myself in the Dev Studio?

And a silly question please don't laugh, how do I access the Dev Studio?

I think we are missing something! In your original code you had written,

LookUp('Invoice Nominees','Invoice Number'=Gallery.Invoice Number).NomineeName

This Gallery.Invoice Number - what is this Gallery, what's its Items property?

Hi @CNT , no worries.
The Gallery is aforementioned Gallery located on the landing page of the App. It displays all invoices if you are a sys-administrator. Otherwise, if you are just an end-user, it will only display invoice(s) that your name is the invoice Primary Holder Name.  The Items property of this Gallery is what you have helped me written above.
Hope it clarifies. 🙂

@Australia The bit in the FIlter/LookUp, 'Invoice Number'= 'Invoice Number' can be a bit problematic because the column names in both the SP Lists are the same. Is is possible to rename it in one the SP List?

Yes sure, I'll do whatever it takes to get it to work! Any preference on which list you want the invoice number to be renamed?

@Australia Probably in the 'Invoice Nominees'
