Gallery Setup (Group by select data)

My application is a survey of several stores.  Some of the surveyors may take a survey for the same stores as another surveyor.

I would like my Gallery to first group by the store, when a user a selected the store, the next screen will open another gallery, this time it will list all of the surveys completed for the select store.

Re: Gallery Setup (Group by select data)

@duncant

Here's a short mini-tutorial for you.  All of this takes place on a single screen.

#1  Put this code in your App's OnStart property.

Set(showGalleryStores,false);
Set(showGallerySurveys,false);

#2  Create a gallery named gal_stores.  Use this code in the following properties:

Items: Distinct(your_datasource_name,'Store Name')
Visible: showGalleryStores
OnSelect: Set(showGallerySurveys,true);Set(showGalleryStores,false);

#3.  Create another gallery named gal_surveys.  Use this code in the following properties

Items: Filter(your_datasource_name,'Store Name': gal_stores.Selected.'Store Name')
Visible: showGallerySurveys

#4  Finally you will want to create a back button so the user can return to the Stores Gallery.  Put this code the in a back icon or button.

OnSelect: Set(showGalleryStores,false);Set(showGallerySurveys,true);
Visible: showGallerySurveys

Let me know what questions you have.

What step is error happening in?  Screenshot please.

Syntax can be different depending on the web browser's language.  I am using United States English?  What is your language setting.

Re: Gallery Setup (Group by select data)

@duncant

You'll want to do this...

Filter(Passengers,'Cruise ID': gal_stores.Selected.'Cruise ID')

If my suggestion does not work please send a screenshot of the complete error message.
