Gallery from sharepoint

 Hi

I read with great interest how to create forms from sharepoint list (Sharepoint powerapps forms). But I need to display record in gallery and I have a great problem to make it works with a SharePoint Person Or Group column (in my case members of sharepoint, creating record).

Also, the correct syntaxt for filter and/or field is not well known. Some tell us to add .value to item.<Field>.value, but it isn't working. Searching or filtering isn't working. In my case:

SortByColumns(Filter(Activites; StartsWith(Person;DateActivity;Activity; TextSearchBox1.Text)); "DateActivity"; If(SortDescending1; Descending; Ascending))

I'm disappointed that creating powerapps application directly from sharepoint creates a wrong code.

Do you have any help for me ?

Re: Gallery from sharepoint

Person or Group column is not just one value. Instead, it is a table with several attributes (DisplayName, JobTitle, Department, etc). That's why the gallery cannot display the value if you only call the name of the column.

You have to provide the name of the column and the attribute to display on the field. Eg:  IADE.JobTitle or IADE.DisplayName; ThisItem.IADE.DisplayName

Re: Gallery from sharepoint

Hi @JimNoredlac,

<Field>.value is for Choice column, if it is a person and group column, then you should use the parameter in the drop list after you typing "<Field>.":

In my case, I'm using below formula and this works for me:

SortByColumns(Filter(ListList, StartsWith(Person.DisplayName, TextSearchBox1.Text)), "ComplianceAssetId", If(SortDescending1, Descending, Ascending))

Re: Gallery from sharepoint

That's not working for me.

I made some screenshots to be clear:

Here's the column named IADE in my list, a list of office 365 users of this apps, formatted like a person columnCapture d’écran (7)_LI.jpg

In powerapps, the gallery is not working with a message "property waiting text value, but this rule products table data".

I've tried all sort of syntaxt. None is working. Do I need to create another text column taking the value of "IADE" column?

Thanks.

Re: Gallery from sharepoint

I think the problem is related to person or group column. I'm unable to create a calculated column to convert this field to text one.
