Gallery select issue

Hi all,

I am having an issue with gallery selected items and forms:

  • Usually when I pick the item in the gallery it navigates to the next screen and shows the item in a display form.
  • The gallery is filtered by a variable so that only people of a certain status are showing.
  • When people of some statuses are selected, the navigate works as usual, but the form shows the data for a second before showing 'No items to display'. So it appears to pick it up, but then stop displaying it.
    • The error seems to stop when the 'all people' status is selected (which makes the variable blank) - and it also works for some rather than others.

I was thinking of trying to change the current set up so that the people gallery is filtered by a drop down, rather than the current buttons-attached-to-variables situation, however I was wondering if anyone could think why it is not working currently?

I haven't posted screen shots as there is personal data in it.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Sam

Hi @SamGibbs ,

Please consider save the selected item from your gallery into a variable, and then bind the Item property of the Display form to the variable:

Set the OnSelect property of the Gallery or the ">" icon to following:

Set(CurrentItem, ThisItem);
Navigate(ViewScreen1)

Set the Item property of the Display form to following:

CurrentItem

Please consider take a try with above solution, check if the issue is solved.

Thanks, that works perfectly.

Would it be worth clearing the global variable when returning to the slection screen or is it not worth it?
