Gallery within Gallery or Galley with Form

Has anyone had any success with embedding a gallery within gallery where the parent gallery points to one data source and the child gallery points to another data source or a form which contains a gallery similar scenario where  the form points to one data source and the gallery points to another data source? Any help or direction would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi

Yes, it definitely can!

In the First Gallery, please select the first row or item, you can see the edit "Pen", click and insert again another Gallery, in any direction (layout).

That is nested gallery.

Hope this helps.

hpkeong - Thanks for the detail and screen shots. They were very helpful. I orginally was trying that was not getting any data returned but after I tinkered with filter query it worked.

Hope you dont mind.  I seem to be having the same issue.  My filter for a gallery is not working when I place the gallery on a custom card within a form but the same filter works when the gallery is its on canvas.  Hope this makes sense.

What tinkering did you need to do with your filter?

Filter(Sessions,RelatedCDSREFNumber.Text='CDS Referral ID (Session)')

Thanks

Mark

Hi Mark, did you ever find a result to this problem? I suspect is has something to do with the record scope that the Filter function is inheriting from the form, but I have no idea how to override it.

Hello Andy

Its as you suspected and I couldnt change the filter.

In the end I used a table instead of a gallery in the form.

Mark

Thanks Mark, seems like one of things in PowerApps that is too hard.
