I am having a problem finding my Gateway in Power Apps and Power Automate. I can see it in PowerBI however. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the gateway multiple times. I have the most up to date November 2019 release and the data gateway says it's ready for PowerApps and Microsoft Flow (now Power Automate). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
when I click that button if just navigates me to the page to redownload the gateway.
Hi @FBSEstimator ,
Could you please share a bit more about your issue?
Do you mean that you could not see the installed Gateway within your PowerApps or Power Automate?
Based on the issue that you mentioned, I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned. Please also make sure that your current Environment of PowerApps or Power Automate is the Default Environment.
Please note that Gateways and on-premises connections can only be created and used in the user's default environment. If your current environment is not the Default Environment, you would not be able to see the installed Gateways.

If you want to see these Gateways installed in your PowerApps Environment, please go to Power Platform Admin Center, then you could see all installed On-premises data gateway there.
Best regards,
I have attached a few screenshots as well as a blog post stating that with October 2019 Patch that you can now install Gateways on Non-Default Environments. https://flow.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/supporting-on-premises-data-gateways-in-non-default-environmen...
I can see my gateway along with my test gateways in the admin center. But not in the PowerApps of PowerAutomate Sections as shown. It does show up in PowerBI. I see no settings to add it to an environment in either PowerApps Or PowerAutomate.
Hi @FBSEstimator ,
Which type of Gateway do you install in your PC? On-premises Gateway or On-premise Gateway (Personal Mode)?
Please make sure the region where the gateway is installed must map to the region of your Power Automate and Power Apps environment in order to view, connect to, and manage the gateway in that environment.
In addition, please consider install a On-premises Gateway rather than On-premise Gateway (Personal Mode) on your PC. The On-premise Gateway (Personal Mode) would not be visible within PowerApps or Power Automate.
Best regards,
Same issue, are we supposed to pay for Power BI to be able to use a Gateway? In which case what's the point of including the File System connectors in the available Actions without a PREMIUM tag?
I believe that I have found the Issue. Out Gateway is on US West 2 and Our PowerPlatform Enviroment Is in the United States. When I create a Test gateway on US West 1 it shows up. But not US West 2. There must be a coding issue where Power Platform Environments in the United States do not recognize US West 2 as in the United States. I will be putting in a ticket with Microsoft to see if they can help me solve this issue.
Thanks @FBSEstimator I searched through a million threads on this and your simple response is what helped me figure out to create the Gateway in the US West 1 region and can now see it. What a ridiculous bug for MSFT to still not have fixed. Thanks again.
