Getting rid of delegation error with sum using addcolumns

Hello!

I am looking to get rid of the delegation error using the addcolumns operator. My Sharepoint list might go over 2000 rows some day, so I need to get rid of the delegation error.

I have a database named "OpleverApp", in here we will need 3 columns.

"ProjectGegevens", which is the project information.
"Verdieping", which is the Floor.
"PercentageKlaar", which is a number value that we're going to use.

So this is what needs to be summed;

We need to take the ProjectGevens, then look for the same floors and then sum up the PercentageKlaar

Example;

In the screenshot below, you can see the ProjectGegevens "20009-11_3010"

The verdieping = 2

It then says 15% done. If there is another ticket with the same ProjectGevens & same Verdieping, it needs to add up the PercentageKlaar & change the 15 to the new number for each ticket. I am using a gallery & a label to show this value.

Sorry for my bad explanation, hopefully I explained it clearly enough to get helped with 😃

Thank you in advance!

Not sure why, but I am getting an error @RandyHayes ;

@Anonymous

Sorry, slight typo in the formula I provided.

    AddColumns(
        GroupBy(
            Filter(OpleverApp;
                MontageFirma = Label3.Text; Ordernummer = TextSearchBox1.Text
            );
            "Ordernummer"; "Verdieping"; "records"
        );
        "klaar"; Sum(records; PercentageKlaar)
    );
    "Ordernummer";
    Descending
)

Thank you for helping me @RandyHayes

Now I get some errors because I can't get any other information from the project, for example MontageFirma (This is just the name of the company)

But when I do ThisItem.klaar, it doesn't show anything and there are no rows in the gallery. Have we done something wrong? Or is this because there are 3 errors in the first item?

https://gyazo.com/b79733d4596274d3974554b99ca05667

Maybe we can put the code inside of a label in the gallery? So the code of the gallery can stay the same?

Also getting a few errors like this; https://gyazo.com/1530b3d83c96f391eb03f32fcff18eee

This is because I have an edit form & an add form where they can add items but when they try to edit it, it wants to see the selected item but it is not possible. It would be awesome if we could put this code inside of a label

@Anonymous

This Formula is all for the Items of the Gallery. The Formula is not a text result, so it's not something that would go in a label.

We need to investigate this from the Gallery Items perspective first.  Are there any errors in the Items formula?  If there are no errors, then keep in mind that you have a very restrictive Filter in your formula.  Your formula states that the value in your Label3.Text and the Value in your TextSearchBox1.Text MUST EXACTLY match what is in your data.  If you have anything off - uppercase, lowercase, misspelling, anything...it will NOT match and you will have NO results.

Let's first address that.  You should start with one label in your Gallery that has its Text property set to ThisItem.Ordernummer and one that is set to ThisItem.klaar

Let's focus on those two labels.  They SHOULD produce values, again, if you have EXACT matching information in the Label3 and TextSearchBox that match MontageFirma and Ordernummer respectively.

Also, keep in mind that your requirement to sum items involves grouping.  When you group, your "signature" of the Gallery records is going to change and the EditForms will no longer work as before.  This can be adjusted.  BUT, let's focus on the first part above and then we'll walk through the rest.

Thank you for helping me out, once again! @RandyHayes

I am not getting any results in the gallery; https://gyazo.com/2707a56274634983d912d3ff7dad6b21

The reason for this is the following; The editform is un-able to find the selecteditem, which makes one of the textvalues equal to nothing cause the editform is invalid. https://gyazo.com/a224b96df6704dd84a50c67d9b2841fc

@RandyHayes

Edit;

I think I was wrong. I am not sure why I am not getting any results. The label is returning "Straatman BV" https://gyazo.com/4445a6517dac375e95edca7fd7761e6b

And in my database; https://gyazo.com/4eb2502d00feab3592ef814d7f4a0463

There are 5 results where MontageFirma = "Straatman BV", not sure why I am getting no results.

Edit2;

Not sure what I am using the Ordernummer and TextSearchbox1 for. I think we can leave these out. I have removed those and now I get only 4 of the 5 results. This is because the PercentagKlaar is added up and then made into 1 ticket but I need it to still show all of the tickets, it just needs to show the summed PercentageKlaar, so it needs to show 5 tickets here

https://gyazo.com/2cc8801378c4d08a9fae8b9d92c6e2e0

@Anonymous

First off, you are going to have an error on the edit form...that is for sure with the current formula and we will adjust for that once we get the gallery working properly.

From what I see for your formula, there is nothing in it that is dependent on the EditForm, so I am not overly concerned with that at the moment.

However, your scope of what you want seems to have changed a bit, or I misunderstood in the start.  It seems you are stating now that you don't want the items grouped and summed, but that you want all the items to display and all to have the same (or associated) sums from all of the other items that match.

Please clarify as we had proceeded down a road to Group your items in order to get the sums and it seems that what you are getting (which is sounding correct now) is not what you want.

In regard to your original filter - this is a good thing and we need to resolve how you can add that as it will Narrow your results and the plan is, according to your original post, to reduce the issue of delegation.

Thank you for your help @RandyHayes

I think I haven't clarified that, but that's true!

The items are now grouped in my gallery (which I don't want, it needs to show ALL rows, just need to sums the PercentageKlaar if the projectgegevens & verdieping are equal to each other and show that on a label.

4 results in my gallery; https://gyazo.com/3db52ed8b070eafdcbfe1464bf7bd251
When I have 5 items in my gallery; https://gyazo.com/e0eb9c7b2705b7e275b6957f6ec6af2d

Are we able to just put a formule on a label now? Or do we still need to do the formule on the gallery?

Sorry for the confusion. Hope this is clear enough 😀
