HTML Text and Lookup

Hi all,

Bit of a strange one I think. I have a HTML Text element on my app where I am pulling together information out of a database.

For this one bit I am trying to do a simple Lookup from the DB to return a single result, in this case it will return false as the column type is bit.

If i use the following code in a text box or a HTML Text box on its own it returns the correct result.

LookUp(
    '[dbo].[tr_log]',
    enq_id = ENQID,
    quotesubmitted
)

If i try add text around it in the HTML Text box it returns nothing for example

"hello start " & LookUp(
    '[dbo].[tr_log]',
    enq_id = ENQID,
    quotesubmitted
) & " hello end"

Not 100% sure what is going on, any help is much appreciated.

Re: HTML Text and Lookup

HI @MrDannyHarry ,

Very strange - as an experiment, try this

With(
   {
      vMsg:
      LookUp(
         '[dbo].[tr_log]',
          enq_id = ENQID,
          quotesubmitted
      )
   },
    "hello start " & vMsg & " hello end"
)

Re: HTML Text and Lookup

Hi @MrDannyHarry ,

I totally agree with @WarrenBelz , However, if I get you right you want to place the text in richtexteditor control, is so: follow any of the below formulas in default property of the control:

with function.png

I hope this resolved your issue if you see any challenge let me know I am always happy to help.

Regards,

Krishna
