Have feild set as read only unless current account match selected person in people picker

So I am working on a form that is customize (using customize this form off SharePoint list) and I have the display mode set to

If(DataCardValue14.Selected.Email = User().Email,DisplayMode.Edit, DisplayMode.View)

DataCardValue14 is a people picker.

When I go to click on new in SharePoint, people can set this value (when they shouldn't) and when editing an item, nobody (including the person set in DataCardValue14) can set this value.

Can someone please tell me where I may be going wrong?

My solution is based off https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Power-Apps/Some-fields-editable-by-created-by-person-on... (and that didn't work for me as well).

Thank you in advanced 🙂

Hi there,

I already made a report to have this one removed as my browser (firefox) decided to misbehave.

Sorry about the double post.

Cheers
