Help with formulas

Hi

I need some help with the following.

1- I would like to hide a datacard on a screen based on the status column (which is a single Choice column) of my SPO list, I thought  it would work by using this formula, but regardless of what the value is in the status column it shows up, so I have in the status column Part E Complete, and the datacard still shows up

I have set this on the Visible property of the datacard:

LookUp(Choices(ListName.Status),Value = "Part D Complete", true) //Status is my SPO column name

2- I have on the same screen a yes/no field (Toggle), if yes is selected I want to email a specific user (I will be hardcoding the users email, as I have reached the limit I can use for a person type field on this form). 
Issue I have is firstly how I do this (maybe on the OnChange property but what if the user than changes back to the default of 'No'), but secondly as I have only 1 submit button, which sends out a standard email to notify the form has been completed, ideally I don't want to send any text in the email related to requiring approval if the toggle is 'No', as its pointless to have text in the email "this requires approval", when it doesn't. Issue is I cant have 2 screens, as the questions fit on 1 screen?

Any ideas?

The effect of this code would be to check whether "Part D Complete" exists in the list of valid options found in SharePoint.  This will always be true.

LookUp(Choices(ListName.Status),Value = "Part D Complete")

If you want to check whether "Part D Complete" is found in the current record you would need use some code like this in the Visible property of the DataCard.

!IsBlank(LookUp(ListName,ID = ThisItem.ID And Status.Value = "Part D Complete"))

Best to solve one problem at a time here....

On your first issue, are you simply looking for the chosen item in the drop down to be "Part D  Complete" - the below will do that.

DropdownName.Selected.xxxxx = "Part D Complete"

xxxx will be

• Value for a Choice field
• Result for a Distinct filter
• FieldName (actual field name) if filtered from a list.

Second item - the toggle OnChange

If(
  ToggleName.Value = true,
  Email code etc,
  Notify("No mail sent or whatever",NotifictionType.Error)
)

Does this answer the rest of your question as no email would be sent.

I've tried your suggestion but i'm getting a red line and it states "Expected Boolean Value":

LookUp(ListName,ID = ThisItem.ID And Status.Value = "Part D Complete")

I missed writing the ISBLANK function.  I've now corrected it above.

Thanks for your first suggestion, but as i have around 8 dropdowns, in different screens, i definitely need to be able to look at the SPO list, but yes I am trying to see if Part D Complete is in the status column, for fields to show up, as they are only relevant if PartD has been completed  

regarding your suggestion for 2. i have put this on the OnChange property of the toggle:

If(DataCardValue70.Value = true, Email = "anemailaddress", Notify("No Mail sent", NotificationType.Error))

Just tried this, while completing the form, the notification appears on screen saying no mail sent, i guess i don't want anything to appear if the toggle is set to no(false).

But after submitting the form the above user did not get an email also curious how i can get some more added to the email which will be sent to the above user, like a subject and  body?
I presume the email would be sent to the above user when I click the submit button, or is it when the toggle is changed from No to Yes, as thats ideally what i wanted?

My email reference was simply to show where the valid email code went and yes it would need a subject and a body.

Are you able to help with the syntax for point 2 i raised please.

Currently for point 2, ive set it up like this but but i do not get an email sent to that email address I have entered, furthermore, i'm not sure how to construct the formula to include subject and body, and to avoid the notification if no email is sent please, maybe just an email to suggest a mail has been sent to the above email?
