Hide 1st column of dropdown or combo box

I would like to have a dropdown or combo box that hides the first column and only displays the second column. The item list will come up from an On-Premise SQL Server via gateway. The ID will be the selected value of the control. Example...

HiddenID | DisplayedPlusSearchName

1              | Bugs Bunny

2              | Homer Simpson

3              | Mickey Mouse

4              | Bart Simpson

5              | Charlie Brown

6              | Fred Flintstone

Any suggestions on how to make that happen? I was not able to find any examples on the Web.

Thanks for your help in advance.

You can set the Items property of the dropdown control to your SQL table - each item in the dropdown will represent the entire row of the table. What you should do then is to select which of the columns is displayed in the dropdown, which you can do in the Advanced pane when you select the dropdown control:

Then, if you want to know the id of the selected item, you can reference that property:

Dropdown1.Selected.HiddenID
