Hide Certain screens based on datacard value

Hi,

Its been a while since I've been here but I'm hoping to pick the PowerApps communities brain 🙂

I'm trying to create an app which has several screens inside it, each screen has its own form, all of which are associated to one SharePoint list.

The first screen is the details page which a customer will need to enter their details as well as a number of how many products (1-20) they would like to purchase from us.

Is there a way to develop the app which will only show the relevant number of screens to edit which the customer will need to fill out? What I'm trying to avoid is a customer only wanting 5 different products but still needing to go through the remaining 15 to get to the end, which is obviously a waste of time.

Hopefully this is achievable!

Thanks

Hi @MiniMe_83 ,

Do you want to show or hide screens based on the information that you fill in screen1?

I'm afraid it's not supported to hide screens in powerapps currectly.

I think the best solution is to navigate to different screens based on condition.

I've made a similar test for your reference:
1)in screen1, use a combo box to select products that you want

set the combo box's Items:

["product1","product2","product3","product4","product5","product6","product7","product8","product9","product10","product11","product12","product13","product14","product15"]

set the navigate button's OnSelect:

If("product1" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen2),
    "product2" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen3),
    "product3" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen4),
    "product4" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen5),
    "product5" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen6),
    "product6" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen7),
    "product7" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen8),
    "product8" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen9),
    "product9" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen10),
    "product10" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen11),
    "product11" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen12),
    "product12" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen13),
    "product13" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen14),
    "product14" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen15),
    "product15" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen16)
)

2)in screen2, insert a form for product1

set the navigate button's OnSelect:

If(
    "product2" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen3),
    "product3" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen4),
    "product4" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen5),
    "product5" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen6),
    "product6" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen7),
    "product7" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen8),
    "product8" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen9),
    "product9" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen10),
    "product10" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen11),
    "product11" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen12),
    "product12" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen13),
    "product13" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen14),
    "product14" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen15),
    "product15" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen16)
)

3)in screen3, insert a form for product2

set the navigate button's OnSelect:

If(

    "product3" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen4),
    "product4" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen5),
    "product5" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen6),
    "product6" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen7),
    "product7" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen8),
    "product8" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen9),
    "product9" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen10),
    "product10" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen11),
    "product11" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen12),
    "product12" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen13),
    "product13" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen14),
    "product14" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen15),
    "product15" in ComboBox1.SelectedItems.Value,Navigate(Screen16)
)

4)set screen4-screen15 to the similar way

5)in screen 16, insert a form for product 15

In tis screen, you do not need to navigate button any more, just a submit form is enough.

@MiniMe_83

Navigation to screens is completely dependent on how you devise your logic.  You would need to review whatever you have for navigating to additional screens and then base that on the number indicated.

Since you have a custom app, there is no way to say exactly what to change or offer suggestion without knowing more about your navigation logic and general app construction.

Please review your navigation logic and if you can't identify the solution, then post back with more detail on how you perform these actions in your app.

I hope this is helpful for you.

Hi and thanks for the responses. The above solution is a worthy work around but not something envisioned.

Thanks again
