We have custom sharepoint form using powerapps running for months. Starting this Wed. (4/3/2019), we are not able to navigate the form when openning it on Chrome. The CPU utilization for Chrome jumps high and freezes the form. The Microsoft IE and Edge are working fine.
Does anyone have similar issue? Is there backend changes/release of the SharePoint/PowerApps that we need to republish the form?

Could you please share a bit more about your issue?
I have made a test on my side, and don't have the issue that you mentioned. Please take a try to clear cache of your Chrome browser, then sign in your SP list, try your custom form again, check if the issue is solved.
You could also consider take a try to open the "Developer Tool" in your Chrome browser, to track the Network condition, find which request cause the High CPU Utilization:
Also please consider take a try to re-start your PC, then try it again, check if the issue is solved. In addition, please take a try to remove the custom form from your SP list, then re-create a new one for it, check if the issue still exists.

Try to open an Incognito Window and login. Incognito creates a new profile with no cache. I've had problems with the cache creating weird problems. If this works clear your cache.

I'm getting this issue or similar now. PowerApps release 3.20043.21. When running a canvas app with a SharePoint connection and searching inside a people picker with Chrome or Edge chromium, CPU and memory usage climb and I can't search for user name. Clearing browser caches didn't fix. IE still works though.
