How do I set a status column in a SharePoint list?

I currently have a "Save" button on my form. When clicked, it updates an item in a SharePoint list. This is working just fine...In addition to this functionality, I want to update a choice column on the same SharePoint list. I want to update or set the status column to "Submitted".

How can I go about doing this? Thanks

Re: How do I set a status column in a SharePoint list?

Hey @Spawn10

In case of an Edit form, you can add a Datacard for Status column as well, set the visible property to false so that it is not displayed to users. on the update property of the Datacard, replace the expression:

Filter(Choices(SPListName.ColumnName),Value = "Submitted")

If this is done using individual controls, then the expression can be updated  to:
Patch(SPListName,Defaults(SPListName),{choice : Filter(Choices(SPListName.ColumnName),Value = "Submitted")})

Hope this Helps!
