Hi all,
I’m working on a tenant in which I have a P2 license. I’m trying to install the on-premises gateway but I get the error:
'You do not have sufficient permissions to install On-premises data gateways. Please contact your global tenant admin.'
Where exactly do you control the users in a tenant that can, or cannot install on-premise gateways?
I’ve looked in the Office 365 admin centre and I’ve searched the help and PowerShell documentation, but I can’t seem to find any reference to this.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/gateway-reference
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/data-integration/gateway/service-gateway-powershell-support
Can someone help? Thanks.
In general the only requirements for installing the data gateway are the following:
Other than those there aren't any specific permissions required. Do all those apply?
Hi @Pstork1
Yes, all of those apply. Although when you install the gateway like I'm doing, there isn't an option to select an environment.
Within the gateway settings, I've successfully connected to a different 365 tenant so the problem must be somewhere in the user setup, rather than network settings, or the configuration of the gateway machine. Very strange...
Hi @timl ,
Please see the reply in below thread where it seems to be a duplicated one:
