I'm trying to use my current gateway for Power Apps and I've found that the gateway needs to be installed in the default environment. I currently use the gateway for Power BI and all is good but it doesn't show as an option when trying to create a datasource for Power Apps.
I've seen posts where people are told to uninstall and re-install the gatway but I really don't want to do that. The last time I did that I had to re-create my reports with the new gateway since it didn't see the previous one even though everything was the same. So, I'm hesitant to go that route.
So, how do I tell which environment my current gateway is in? I log into it with the same email and password as I do for Power Apps.
The user name and password that you used tosign upfor PowerApps.
Administrative permissions on a gateway. (You have these permissions by default for each gateway that you install, and an administrator of another gateway can grant you these permissions for that gateway.)
A license that supports accessing on-premises data using an on-premises gateway. For more information, see the “Connectivity” section of thepricing page.
Gateways and on-premises connections can only be created and used in the user's default environment.
