How to Collect a ComboBox selected record from the lookup table.

Hi everyone,

I am sure this going to be a simple solution once you tell me. What I would like to do is capture the record from a lookup table that was used in ComboBox pull down. Basically if the user selects an item from the ComboBox and the ComboBox is using a lookup table (CDS), can I capture the whole record from the lookup table into a collection. I have looked at all the properties in the ComboBox I was using in the form and cannot see any way to identify the record used in the selection on the lookup table. Any help appreciated.

Regards,

Re: How to Collect a ComboBox selected record from the lookup table.

Hi @JasonF

If I am not wrong, you want to get all the columns from the Selected Comobobox item, for that you need to use:

In case of single selection: ClearCollect(MyCollection, Combobox1.Selected)

In case of multiple selection: ClearCollect(MyCollection, Combobox1.SelectedItems)

Note: The columns that will be saved in the collection depends on the Items property of the combobox control.

Hope this Helps!

Hi @JasonF ,

Are you trying to collect the record of source entity or the current entity?
