Now I am successfully Launching another PowerApps from my parent PowerApp in Butoon OnSelect Event with calling below command. But it is launching in another/different tab of the browser instead of same tab.
How could I overlapp/Overrride lunching PowerApp in my Parent App window?? Do I need to setup any property or any parameter need to pass in above command?? Please guide me which would help me a lot.
Hi Guys, Please give me some pointer on this?? Its a silly question but created more impact on displaying apps. Please suggest me logic to implement this.
According to this documentation about Launch function, we know that the Launch function launches a webpage or an app. Optionally, this function can pass parameters to the app.
I test this issue on my side to launch an app. I found that the app is opened in another tab of the browser by default. It doesn’t overlap the parent app.
I guess this should be a default action and seems that currently we are not able to overlap launching PowerApps in parent PowerApps window.
If you are trying with another simple URL, e.g. https://www.google.com.sg/#spf=1, it will also be opened in a new tab.
If you want to overlap/Override launching apps in parent app window, please consider to create a feature request on PowerApps Ideas Forum, other customers who have the same request will vote your idea at here:
I will also collect and report this feature request on my side.
Created new idea. Please find at below link and provide you understandings and tips.
Hi @Anonymous - in reviewing the New Idea post submitted by @Sidhartha75, this functionality is still under review. I will try to obtain a more detailed update and add it to this thread.
is there any update on this feature?
It would really help the user experience if we could launch another PowerApp in the same screen, and close the powerapp to return to the original list.
