How to add a custome table to activity to record phone calls
I hope you are all keeping well.
I am having a little bit of an issue where we have a custom table named contractor accounts (which is basically a duplicate of accounts in the model-driven app) where we are unable to log a phone call activity to the contractor's account. I was wondering how do we go about adding the contractor's account so it can be selected in the 'To' section of the activity?
I have attached images for your reference
We go to add a new activity
We select the phone call activity
we attempt to add the 'To'
However, we are not given the option for the contractor's accounts as detailed in the image below
Is there a way to add the contractor's account to this selection?
This is not possible I'm afraid. Unfortunately customisation of the to field in phone calls is not available
I would suggest rethinking your approach, and perhaps use the account table to hold your contractor account table with a choice column to allow you to differentiate between contractors and other types of accounts
