How to add a field created in PowerApps form customize to a SharePoint list

Hello folks,

I have a somewhat rudimentary question, please bare with me.

I am customizing a SharePoint form in PowerApps form customize. I added a new Dropdown field that gets its value from a lookup table. Now, I don't really know how to connect this new field created in the PowerApps side to the SharePoint list. Do I create a corresponding column in the SharePoint list? What are the ways I can add it from the PowerApps side? - because I have filtered the items on this specific new field.

Please help!

Thank you!

You cannot modify the underlying structure of a datasource from PowerApps.  This is by design.  You must modify the list from the SharePoint side, then you can save the data there from PowerApps.
