How to create file add button from computer.

Hello, I want to create a button where I can load an excel file from the computer and use it in databases, how can I do this?

I saw this video, but I couldn't find the attachment even though I did it as mentioned.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @s5B

Attachment control does not exist on the controls list. So we need to hack the system to get control.

  • Insert New screen
  • Insert "Edit Form" control
  • Set Datasource (Any Sharepoint list)
  • Select the form
  • Go to "Edit Fields" on the right-side properties
  • Fields pop-up will display
  • Click "Add field" and Select "Attachments"
  • The form should display attachment control
  • Copy the attachment control and place it in the desired place (New screen)
  • Remove/Update few properties
    • Bordercolor to Balck
    • Remove Items
    • Update Tooltip to ""
    • Update DisplayMode to DisplayMode.Edit
    • Write your desired code on "OnAddFile"

Now you can control to add file(s).
