How to display the selected data information?

Hello,

I'm pretty new to powerapps so my question should be easy to answer (it is most likely due to a lack  of knowledge).

I got a list stocked in sharepoint that look like this :

sharpoint.PNGsharepoint

I want to create an app to navigate from the left to the right of the list: one has to select the Activity family from the list of Activitiy families and then the Activity ...

My problem is that my app display Knowlege Management multiple times while I just want it to be displayed once.

Do you know how to procede?

I may have been confusing I can post screenshot if you want.

Best regards,

Bastien

Hi @Anonymous,

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

Could you please share a bit more about "navigate from the left to the right of the list"?

How do you display the selected data info within your app? Could you please share a screenshot about it?

I suppose that you want to select the Activity Family within your app, then display the corresponding Activity, Variant Description and Activity Details column value, is it true?

I have made a test on my side, please take a try with the following workaround:11.JPG

Add two Gallery controls and one Display form control within my app (Tablet app).

Set Items property of the Gallery1 to following formula:

Distinct('20180710_case6',Activity_x0020_Family)

Note: The '20180710_case6' represents the SP list data source within my app.

Set OnSelect property of the Gallery1 to following formula:

Refresh('20180710_case6')

Set the Items property of the Gallery2 to following formula:

Filter('20180710_case6',Activity_x0020_Family=Gallery1.Selected.Result)

Set DataSource property of the Display form control to following:

'20180710_case6'

Set the Item property of the Display form control to following formula:

If(!IsEmpty(Gallery2.Selected),Gallery2.Selected,First(Gallery2.AllItems))

The GIF image as below:Test1.gif

In addition, if you want to display "Knowledge Management" once within your app (I assume that display it within Gallery control), I think the Distinct function in PowerApps could achieve your needs. Please check the Distinct function formula that I provided above.

More detaisl about the Distinct function, please check the following article:

Kris
