Hi all! I have a problem with the form which i created using power apps, its bassically a question form where users should be able to submit answers so they reflect in a specific Sharepoint list. The thing is, we want to keep the Sharepoint list as a private channel so nobody has access to only few people. But at the same time we want the power app (question form) to be available to all people in our company. So i think that's where the problem starts because i always get this error whenever i try to share the power app with my organization or certain people.

No permission to the 'SharepointFormApp' application that has ID = xxxxxxxxxxxx

Any ideas what is causing this please? If its because the Sharepoint list is private and needs to be public, please let me know where i can change that too.

The best you can do is hide the list in the SharePoint, so it doesn't show up, try this

Hi @Xabrina123 ,

Give the relevant users a Customer Permission Level in SharePoint based on Contribute, but with View Application Pages unchecked. They will have full read/write access to the SharePoint List through Power Apps, but will not be able to navigate to any SharePoint view.

You will find this screen in Advanced Permissions on the SharePoint site under Permission Levels (at the top)

@WarrenBelz - In our projects too we have tried this approach. But, if the end user finds the name of the list, they can still construct the url and get to the list even after we uncheck View Application Pages.

How do they "get to" the list. I have been using these permissions for a number of years on a large field workforce and have never had issues.

As well, apart from "hiding" the list on a sub-site and giving it an obscure name (I have done this for a couple of confidential items), you can also make the Default view contain one column that means nothing and then have all other views on a separate Page, with access permissions not including those users.

Attributes of the list are searchable on the main Sharepoint search box and the user could then directly go to the list. We have now changed the property in advanced setting to not show list items in the search. It seems that there are multiple places where we need to change properties to truly hide a list from end users.

I actually keep our field users away from the entire site (the permissions are set at this level), so they simply cannot view any page on the Site. If you need them to have SharePoint access on other lists, I suggest you put the ones you want to hide on a subsite.
