How to maintain the display state of button even after it is navigated to other screen

Good afternoon,

I have three button

1. verify button

2. create button

3. edit button

 By default create and edit button is disabled , when the user clicks verify button , then only create and edit button will be enabled.

So, I set screen on visible property:

UpdateContext({varSaved:false});

onselect property of verify button:

UpdateContext({varSaved:true})

Display mode of create and edit button:

If(
varSaved = false,
Disabled,
Edit
)

problem is:

At first, the user clicks verify button , then create button is enabled, suppose if user clicks edit button it navigates to edit screen,after editing if the user returns to first page , the create button is disabled.

my need is:

Eventhough the user navigates to other screen, the create button should maintain the last display state.

Kindly please help me 🙂

Hello @preethi1_suresh

Apologies, got mixed up with my reply earlier.

On the Verify button's onselect:

Set(varSaved,true);

Then on the Create/Edit Button's Display Mode:

If(varSaved, DisplayMode.Edit, DisplayMode.Disabled)

Hello @preethi1_suresh

Since you are updating/dependent on the variable from different screens, use Global Variable instead of Context Variable.

Remove this code from the OnVisible code. Move the idea of this code to App.OnStart:

AFTER ADDING THE CODE, Run the OnStart Code by following below:

Then, on your OnSelect code, change it to:

Set(varSaved,true);

Thanks for your solution @cha_cha   , but it didn't work for me

I set the app on-start property:

Set(varSaved,false);

Onselect of verify button:

Set(varSaved,true);

Display mode of create button:

If(
varSaved=true,
DisplayMode.Edit,DisplayMode.Disabled
)

By using this formula, default create button is disabled, but when i click verify button , the create button doesn't enabled.

pls help me @cha_cha

Change the OnSelect of the verify to this:

If(varSaved,
DisplayMode.Edit, DisplayMode.Disabled
)

Also please show me the definitions of your varSaved by following instruction below:

cha_cha_0-1671100582567.png

click varSaved:

then screenshot like below:
