How to make URL entered with new entries clickable

I am looking for a little assistance with a Canvas APP.

The goal here is for an end user to make an entry in to the app as shown below. Then we need the URL to be clickable when searched. I cannot utilize this approach Launch( "https://bing.com" ), as the url is unknow until the end user will enters it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi @Zartanian

You have 2 options

1-

use on select of the control

Launch(Self.Text)

2- Use an HTML Text control with this code in the HTML Text property

"<a href="""&Parent.Default&""">"&"Parent.Default"&"</a>"

Thank you

@Ramole

Thank you for the quick reply! I will need a little time to research, implement, and test. This is actually my first PowerApp Canvas and I am importing it from an Excel file. This basically means, your answers seem very straight forward, but I will need time to read/research how to implement.

@Ramole

That is correct, I am not 100% on where to enter the code. As much as I appreciate the help, I do not want to be taking advantage.

Just add this code Onselect of the control to launch on select

Launch(Self.Text)

@Ramole

Thank you again for the quick reply!

I hope this makes sense.
I made edit like so:

Zartanian_0-1632534864554.png

After making the above change the link will only work on this screen (Have to have item in edit mode).

The goal is to have it working on the screen below. I did try adding the same code here, but was unable to yield the same results. I am sure it is just a small oversight on part.

Hi @Zartanian

As you're using a form and form is on view that's the reason OnSelect function doesn't work and the card is locked

Thank you

@Ramole I see, is there a way around this or is it simply a limitation?
