How to make hyperlink clickable?

Hi, I have a form that the data source came from google sheet. I know that Google has restricted a lot of things, so I cant display image from google drive in the form using image function, I did asked a question about this last week (here). Currently my detail screen shows the url of the image and it is not clickable.

When I open the app in phone, i can open the link by copying it and open it in browser. I don't want that, prefer it to be clickable.

Really appreciate your help 🙂

There are two ways of doing it:

#1 - Use an HTML Text control with this code in the HTMLText propery

"<a href="""&Parent.Default&""">"&"Parent.Default"&"</a>"

#2 - You can create a hyperlink by changing the OnSelect property of the label to this code

Launch("Parent.Default")

Then to let the user know its a hyperlink make the text underlined and change the color to blue.

Hi @fnabila .

Another way is to use HTML script to create a hyperlink in HTML Text control.

Replace the Label by HTML Text control, then set HtmlText property as follows.

"<a href="& Parent.Default &">" & Parent.Default & "</a>"

Thanks, @mdevaney

I have a question. If the link is in a field in a card that is part of the form, it seems like this method works when the form is in Edit mode. What needs to happen is the launch when the form is in the View mode. Clicking on the field in Edit mode should NOT launch the site, since we are trying to edit the link. Do you have any idea on how to accomplish this?

@kirillperian

Im happy to help with this question but can you please start a new thread and tag me?

it looks nice, but it does not work as expected. I have set some standards for different URLs so normaly the app with the associated standard is automatically opened. Independent what i use (HTML or Lauch()) all URL are directed to the web-browser.

Is there someone here with a good idea?
