Hi everybody,
I have a little problem with Automate and Forms.
I have created a group forms and tick Only members of my organization can answer.
I create a flow because I want to get the answers in teams but i can't add the column Name.
In my excel forms i have the column Name
but i can't choose Name in automate
I wonder if this is normal behavior and if I have to add a Name field to my form ?
I also tried another solution to avoid creating a flow by ticking receive a mail notification of each response but but I never get any e-mail.
I hope to be clear. Thank you for your help

Hi @ALP1 ,
Firstly, I have to tell you that I use Forms and Flow (and SharePoint) a lot, but not Excel often (only for static tables) , so my trouble shooting skill here are quite low.
However I have one thought - is your column in Excel called "Name"? This is generally a "reserved" word and using it can cause issues such as the one you are having.
Hello @ALP1 ,
I share your frustration on the limited amount of data the MSForms connector brings back, an example being the result of Tests.
I am a little confused with your question however as your screenshot shows the fields from Forms, not the Excel table you are trying to write to. What does the Excel file panel look like?
Sorry if I wasn't clear.
Here's a screenshot of my excel form
Here's a screenshot of my forms
As you can see, I didn't add the Name field because it's a private form.
I don't know why but I'm sure you'll tell me I have to add the Name field to the form 😫
Hello @ALP1 ,
I meant the Flow screen where you call the Excel form.
MS Forms will only display the fields from that form (or am I missing something)?
Oh sorry
It's a group form, i insert my form ID to retrieve the data.
You are posting to Teams - where do you connect with the Excel form to tel Flow to look for the field?
Sorry for the delay.
I add an excel action to my flow like this
I can now add the Name field as we can see.
However, this is not good since in my team this lists all the records contained in the file excel
Hi @ALP1 ,
Your screen shots are too low resolution to read.
So that I can try to answer you properly, can you please detail, step by step, exactly what you are trying to do in the process (from where, to where).
Hi WarrenBelz,
First of all, I want to thank you for support that I appreciate.
For the screenshots, if I click on them they look good for me and I can zoom in on them.
Here's the process.
I have a form that employees have to fill out.
As this is an internal form, the name field is automatically entered into the excel file corresponding to the form.
I didn't take care to add a Name field to the form because it's useless.
Then when an employee responds to the form, I would like his answers to appear in my Team channel. It'll be easier for me and my team
So I create a flow with automatoe
So here's the process
1. I ask to log in to my group form
2. I ask to collect the answers of this form
3. I ask to publish the answers of this form in my team's
So far everything works perfectly except that I can't recover the name field of the excel file.
As a advised, I added the excel connector that allows me to recover the name field.
I used the action List rows present in a table but I can not set it because every time I add an answer to the form, I have the answer that appears in teams but also all the previous answers.
So, if I have 10 records in the form, it's the 10 records that will appear in teams plus the last record
First step - The employee responds to the form
Step Two - The Flow Starts
Step Three - Answers appear in Teams
As you can see, it's all the answers in the excel file that appear in my channel.
How to get that last record ?
