How to search string in column

Hi, guys! I have a sharepoint list 'emails'. In this list I have a column called Email. I want to search if User().Email is in this Email column. I wrote a code: If(lower(User().Email)=Lower(Email),"x","y") but it is not finding emails correctly. I mean when my email is already in this list, this code returns that I am not in the Email column. Sometimes it is working fine. What should I do?

Re: How to search string in column

Try:

If(IsBlank(LookUp(emails,Email=User().Email,Email)),"x","y")
email is the Table or Datasource as you stated.
if it there, y else x

Re: How to search string in column

Hi @KotaroKo :

Firstly,let me explain why you encounted this problem.

The most important thing is that you need to tell the app which table you need to search.In the formula "If(lower(User().Email)=Lower(Email),"x","y") ", the target data source is missing.

Secondly,I suggest you try this formula:

If(lower(User().Email) in Lower(emails.Email),"x","y")

 Best Regards,
