How to set default item of "Dropdown" control in the canvas app?

Hello,

I am binding dropdown control ( Not a combo box) with collection "colTest" having two fields ID and Value.

the "ColTest" contains 5 items.

I have a specific item value on the screen let's say "ID=3" and "Value=Value3", how can I set that item as default item in the dropdown box?

I do not have "DefaultSelectedItems" property, but there is a  "Default" property only.

I have tried formula - "First(Filter(colTest, ID = 3))" , however it throws an error saying there is an error in the formula.

Can you please guide how do I set the default item in the dropdown list?

Thanks,

Try "Value" in Default as seen above. Tested it myself

write this in the default

["Value3"]

or if it doesn't work

{Value: "Value3"}

Hello @dave8 ,

You can try

Filter(Choices(colTest, ID = 3))

All of the following formula throws an error saying, "There is an error in the formula"

Filter(Choices(colTest, ID = 3))

write this in the default

["Value3"]

or if it doesn't work

{Value: "Value3"}

I am unsure if "Default" property of the Dropdown box is really functional for the canvas app? sounds like a limitation to me!

Thanks,
