How to set the Controls to Edit mode when clicking a button

Hi @PowerAddict  and other experts,

I have following fields in my screen and I have set them to View mode. I want them to be in edit mode when I press the + icon

Capture.PNG

Date is the DatePicker2

Customer name is the ComboBox4

Amount is the TextInput2

Invoice number is the TextInput2_2

I am trying hard to get it done using Reset.....but in vain

Please help

Re: How to set the Controls to Edit mode when clicking a button

Hi!

Have your + icon's OnSelect do:
Set(EditModeVariable, !EditModeVariable)

Then have the DisplayMode for those items set not to DisplayMode.View, but rather to:

If(EditModeVariable,
   DisplayMode.Edit,
   DisplayMode.View
)

So by default, these should now be in View mode, and you can have anything else change that EditModeVariable to turn Edit Mode on or off.

Could you try that and let me know how you get on with that?

Thanks!

Sancho
