How to show a pop message for 2 second on the screen and hide it

I have screen having gallery and a search field on the top.

Records are more than 266, so the search result comes up some time more than 25 records etc.

I want to count the search and display on a message pop for 5 sec and disappear by itself, so that the user can know how many records has been filtered.

I am aware of the method to obtain the row count like below in a text box:

Total Records counted :  & CountRows(BrowseGallery1.AllItems)

But dont know how to bring the same result to message box for few seconds.

Please advise.

You could use the built in Notify() function for this.  It consists of three elements, The message in double quotes, the type (Information, Success, or Error) and an optional time for the message to appear in milliseconds.  So you could have Notify("Total Records counted : " & CountRows(BrowseGallery1.AllItems), Information, 2000).  You could put it in the OnChange property of the Search TextInputBox.

Hi @MIA27 ,

Hope you are doing well!

Please use Timer control.

In Timer Control, Duration – How long a timer runs in milliseconds. The maximum is 24 hours expressed in milliseconds. Default is 60 seconds.

So the Duration would be 60000 millisecond i.e. 60 seconds. You need to make to 5000 which will be 5 second.

So on click of let say filter button, you filter the gallery. So for OnSelect property use a local or global variable, let say Set(gblvar_ShowPopUp, true) with other filter logic.

Then on OnTimerEnd property use this Set(gblvar_ShowPopUp, false). The pop up (Which could be a pop up with filter result). Make the Visible property to gblvar_ShowPopUp

I hope this helps.
