How to show image in image control, image file is store in CDS as image data type

Hi All,

I have captured an image from a camera control and successfully stored in CDS with the following formula.

If(formtype = "New" && Set(Displayimage,false),Patch('Captured Photos',Defaults('Captured Photos'),{Photo:{Value: Newimage.Image, Full: Newimage.Image}},{crb50_cid:GUID}));

Now I want to show the image in image control and include that image in HTML text control in the form of an img tag.

Like, <img src='"& If(Displayimage=true, EditPDFimage.Image,NewPDFimage.Image) &"'/>

So that I can pass this in HTML text in Flow where I will create PDF report.

I am face issue to show the stored image in image control, as its show data type as 'Record'.

My formula for the image property of image control is:-

LookUp('Captured Photos',CID=RecordList.Selected.crb50_customerid,Photo)

Could you please help me to show the captured image into image control and the HTML text.

You may be better served with SharePoint and saving the images as attachment, then you can use your phone at the house and take many photos and store them as attachments and show them all in a galley for each house.

If you want you can send me an email at and I can setup a teams meeting to help you

Many thanks for your response.

Actually I need work with CDS only as all my data is in entities.

HI again,

I just checked and you can use the process in CDS also. you need to add the attachments field to the form since it is not included by default.

Again, feel free to contact me if you like

Sure Jay,
