How to update attachment content while App is running?

Dear all.

Need some help please.

I have an app where I can add attachments. In one of my views it is possible to see/open, remove or add some attachments. When I e.g. open an attached Word document it is possible to type text or modify the existing, but when I click save (in Word) and close it the changes won't save to the attached file.  I don't want to change the list item bound to it, just the content of my attachment.

Is this possible?

Regards, Stefanie

Hi @Stefanie10 ,

No - you would have to delete the old attachment and then attach the updated document. If however you saved the document in a SharePoint Library, you could open it, modify and re-save (and it would create another version if you had versioning enabled.
