Hi All,
We have developed powerApp , by connecting Dynamics 365 for operations.
1. Now we shared with couples of guys in the organization (Employee1@comapanyName.com, Employee2@comapanyName.com)
2,Employee1 & Employee2 are not users in D365FO
3. both employees are getting error while opening this app, seems due to they are not users in D365FO
Please suggest, is there a way we could share with employee in oraganiziton & they could use it , even they are not
users in D365FO
Highly appreciate your suggestions..
D365FO = Dynamics 365 for operations.
Thanks,
Krishna
Are you asking how to use an App with a licensed connector when you do not have a license?
I think you'll find that if your App is reliant on the connector, then it will require a license for every person who uses it.

Is this a case of you wishing to have an external member of, say, a company utilise this? If so they would need adding to your Dynamics 365 F n O instance.
If it's a case of you wish to expose Dynamics 365 FnO data that they can then use within the PowerApps then working around this may be considered a breach of your licenses and will also by pass authorisations if data - it is not recommended.
Hi all,
Employee1,Employee2(not users in D365FO) -Accessing --> Shared app (admin user "Admin1" credentials already provided by developer)
1. Developer already established link/connection with D365FO by providing a valid user credentials
2. when he is sharing with employees, logically there is no need of authenticating again, since it has provided already.
We tested this case, not working. it's working only when Employee1,2 exist in D365FO.
Are we missing something., is there any way. that shared user can't access this..
Please advise.
Connectors within PowerApps use the currently-logged-in user's credentials and authentication,
So it will try authenticate as Employee1 when Employee1 accesses the App, and as they have no license, it will not work.

Hi @krishnapwa,
Do you mean that the Employee1 and Employee2 do not have Dynamics 365 F&O license?
Do you want to shard your app which relies on Dynamics 365 F&O data source to the Employee1 and Employee2?
If the Employee1 and Employee2 do not have Dynamics 365 F&O license, they could not use the shared app you shared with them.
When the Employee1 and Employee2 run this shared app, they must provide their own credentials to create a connection to the Dynamics 365 for Operations connector in this app.
More details about sharing app resource within PowerApps, please check the following article:
