How to use multiple filters to update a record in sharepoint list using Patch function

 The below mentioned rows are my rows in SharePoint list.

I have a power app which patches the data to SharePoint. While patching the data, I need to check whether there is an existing entry for the same project id in that closing month and I need to update the record if it already exists and create a new record if that do not exist in that particular month. In the above example, if some one submits an entry for project id 1 and if still the closing month is February it needs to update the entry. This is the query I am using

If(IsEmpty(Filter('Source', Title = ClosingMonth && 'Project Id' = ProjectId)) ,Patch('Source',Defaults('Source'),{'​​Title':ClosingMonth,'Project Id':ProjectId,'Comments':Comments}, Patch('Source',First(Filter('Source', 'Project Id' = ProjectId && Title = ClosingMonth)),{​'Comments':Comments}​​));

But this condition is not working. Appreciate any help.

Do all users have permission to the list in order to add records?

Lists must be shared with enough permissions to all users in order to do that actions you want in the app.

Hi @RandyHayes , I have shared the list and it is working fine. Is there any limitation to this Lookup function? Like how many rows  can Lookup function check in the SharePoint List?

The only limitations you have with any data operations are either the number of records you can retrieve (defined in your advanced settings), or, if your list exceeds that limit, if your criteria for lookup or filtering are delegable.

@RandyHayes , I have set this limit to the maximum value i.e 2000.  What happens to our code when the number of rows exceeds 2000 in the SP list? Will our code still holds good as Look up function is a delegable function?

Delegation is all about what you can "ask" the datasource to do for you.

Record limit is all about how many rows you can get back from a datasource.

If you can't "ask" the datasource to do a query for you, then PowerApps needs to pull back ALL of the records to successfully perform the query.

If you have more records than your record limit, then PowerApps will only pull back that limit to run the query on.  This means data would be missing potentially from your results (thus a delegation warning).

 

That said - The criteria we are using in the Lookup is all delegable, so I don't see any issues with that.
