Hyperlink field in powerapps

Hi,

I have one hyperlink field in SharePoint which I am using in power apps to display the hyperlink. The hyperlink is working in edit mode but it is not clickable when the form is in view mode. Is there any way by which I can make that hyperlink clickable on view mode? Please advise

Thanks

Hi @hiti ,

Put a custom card on the form and then a HTML text box inside this - replace Google with your hyperlink and click here with your message - this goes in the HtmlText property

"<a href='https://www.google.com'>Click here</a>"

Please click Accept as solution if my post helped you solve your issue. This will help others find it more readily. It also closes the item. If the content was useful in other ways, please consider giving it Thumbs Up.

Hi,

Can I do this without adding the custom card?

@hiti ,

You need to put the HTML Text box in a card on the form - if you want to put it in an existing one, then that should also work.

Hi,

I have a field in power apps which shows hyperlink. I want this link to be clickable in view form mode. Currently, it can be clicked only when the form is in edit mode.

I am looking for a solution that works without adding the custom hyperlink field.

@hiti ,

I would have given you another solution if there was an easier one, what is the issue with a simple HTML box inside the card - you can add the URL field like this

"<a href='" & ThisItem.YourURLField & "'>Click here</a>"

Hi @hiti

If you choose the "View URL" control type, the link should always be clickable on a view form in view mode.

Instead, if you have a single form control on a screen that you are conditionally switching between edit and view modes, you will need to override the display mode property of the card so that it is always in edit mode (rather than the default value of Parent.DisplayMode)
