I'm using powerapps to edit item of SharePoint list with 3 views

The list has 3 views that show a subset of fields.

No matter from what view I start the edit item, I allways get the same set of fields.

It seems the app is unaware of the active view of the SharePoint list or at lease not doing anything with that information.

Can I detect in the app from what view on the SP-list it was launched from, so I could adjust the form to match the (fields displayed on the) view?

The app was configured when only the 'all items' view was there.

Is there a way to recreate the app from scratch now the 3 views are there?

Would that change anything if launched from a different view?

Hi @MichelH,

Do you custom a form for your SP list using PowerApps?

Do you want to detect in the app from which view on the SP list it was launched from?

If you want to detect in the app from which view on the SP list it was launched from, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently.

Actually, the creation of the custom form (created via PowerApps) of a SP list is not related to which view it is in your SP list. No matter which view your app loads from, the custom form would display same fields which you enabled within the Edit form (SharePointForm1) of your app.

If you would like this feature to be added in PowerApps, please consider submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:

Thank you for clarifying this Kris Dai,

I think ik would be a great enhancement if the powerapp from would be aware of the view of the SharePoint list they were lauched with.

I was hoping some sort of a workaround would be available.

I will put it on the ideas list as you suggested.
