If statement in default datacard

Screenshot 2021-05-14 102932.jpg

I am having trouble with the syntax of a default datacard. The combobox and beyond part works. When I just put Submitted in as the default along with the rest it shows submitted and the combobox value in a gallery label. I only want it to say submitted if status is blank and right now is combining them. How can I get the combobox to override the Submitted value? The datacard15 overides the combobox just with the last if statement. So when the status is empty I want it to say submitted when it is changed with a combobox I want that to be overwritten and just show the combobox value then I want it to be overwritten again when there is a value in datacard15.

Hi @powerapps890 ,

Could you use the Coalesce function?
So something like:
Coalesce(DataCardValue16.Text, "Submitted")

It says it is creating a circular reference. @Liam_Chapman Just the word Submitted works but it doesn't overwrite the combobox @Liam_Chapman
