In PowerApp Forms, can I save data from multiple sources and user input to one file?

My goal is to have a user select from different drop downs a project, employee, and role. Then manauly type in a percentage. I want all of these saved into one excel file when the user submits the form. Is it possible to pull the drop down info into a seperate a file?

Hi @msik,

It is definitely possible to use data from multiple sources and save it all into one file.  I don't think I would use the Edit form to do it.  Instead, I suggest you use a blank screen and add the dropdown or comboboxes for each data source.  You would then use Collect() or Patch() to submit the data to your Excel file.  To see how to do this, Check out @Meneghino's blog at

Hi @msik,

Could you please share a bit more about your scenario?

Do you want to submit data from multiple data sources and user input into single one row of your Excel table?

If you want to submit data from multiple data sources and user input into single one row of your Excel table, please check and see if my response within the following thread would help in your scenario:

In addition, I don't think the SubmitForm function would help in your scenario. I think the Patch function could achieve your needs. On your side, you should type the following formula within the OnSelect property of the "Submit" button:

Column1:Dropdown1.Selected.Value, /* <-- Drop Input */
Column7:TextInput1.Text, /* <-- User Input */

More details about the Patch function in PowerApps, please check the following article:
