Incompatible type. the data source you're updating expects a 'Date' type and you're using 'DateTime' type

I'm storing my data to a collections then patching them to SQL. However, I encountered this error in one of my Date fields. Is there a way to convert text values to just Date data type and not DateTime Format? I used Date function but still it is recognized as a "DateTime" format instead of a "Date" format.

@Jud33

Try the DateValue function instead of the Date function,

DateValue("2021/01/12")

Or try another option,

Text(Date(2021,01,12), DateTimeFormat.ShortDate)

@CNT , Thanks for your response. I also tried the approach you mentioned along with other iterations  but I was still getting the same error. I ended up having to update the SQL tables' data type to Date and Time and it resolved the error
