Initialize field and add record linked to previous record selected

Hi,

I have two tables in CDS:

  • Bet
  • Games

A bet can contain many games, and there is relationship between them.

I generated a canvas app.

On the browse screen, I can click on  a Bet. Then, it opens the details screen where it shows the Bet Id, and I added a gallery that displays all the games related to this Bet id.

The screens and forms:

  1. BrowseScreen1, gallery: BrowseGallery1 : to select the desirect Bet
  2. DetailScreen1, DetailForm1 and gallery: Gallery1 : to display the Bet ID and his related games
  3. EditGameScreen, EditGameForm: to add new games linked to previous Bet selected

I try now to add new games linked to this bet, but I don't succeed for the moment.

I added a new '+' icon on the DetailForm1, that navigate to a new form to create my new game, but I don't know how to initialize data in this new screen so the new game recorded will linked to the original  bet chosen on the BrowseScreen1 and then followed on the DetailScreen1.

1/ How can I initialize the value of the field Bet that I added on the new form EditGameForm?

2/ How should I do to then record this new game linked to the original Bet selected?

Does anyone knows if what I want to do is possible?

I was wondering because the data is carried in two forms before being put in my final form.
