InputTextPlaceholder becomes invisible!

Hi All,

Please note in the GIF shared that the input text placeholder "Select 1 from drop-down" becomes invisible as soon as i select the value from Report Type column to be "Data Extract"

This could be because the required property of cell is dependent on the cell i am changing as shown below:-

If(DataCardValue11_3.Selected.Value="Data Extract",false,true)

or that i am also disabling the control based on value there

If(DataCardValue11_3.Selected.Value="Data Extract",Parent.DisplayMode.Disabled,Parent.DisplayMode.Edit)

Only combo-boxes are getting affected by these operations- not text box- please suggest!

The ISSEARCHABLE property is true already- it still doesn't work!

The property is a little different between Combo box and Text Input control. The Combo box has place holder text and the input has a hint. They work slightly different as you have found out. You could make the combo box text work a little more like the input control by disabling search and adding the hint text to the property NoSelectionText.
