Inventory notification

Greetings all -

I've modified the the Asset Checkout template to reserve quantities of items based on user input from a Text Input field. What I'd like is to display a warning if if they request an amount greater than what is currently on stock.

The data is coming from a datafield called "Quantity" in my Excel sheet. I'm brand new to this, so if someone is feeling extra helpful and breakdown the formula for a dunce like me, I'd be very grateful.

Just out of curiosity, have you tried to replace your complex LookUp/Comparison that is in the Visible field w/ a simple Boolean, then setting that Boolean during your OnChange to the Quantity field in question?  I'm just wondering if you're running into a particular PowerApps "optimization" that is trying not to query datasources unless explicitely asked to.

@jhall - I tried this as both the text and Visible value for my errormessage label field, but no luck:

If(
Value(RequestedQuantityField.Text) > Value(
LookUp(
'US Azure SWAG Stock',
ProductID = ThisItem.ProductTitle,
CurrentStockLabel.Text
)
),
"My error message"
)
