Hi all,
I've gallery and concatenated tat gallery items in to an collection.
I'm passing that collection to a flow and creating an excel file in one drive or share point.

It's working fine, but I'm trying to find Is there any way to download the collection item directly to local folder if we specify file path
Hi @SumanKoduri
The way to do this would be to extend the Flow that you've already created. After you create your Excel file, you can use the file system connector to copy the file to a local folder.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/filesystem/
For this to work, you'll need to install the on premises gateway.
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/powerapps/maker/canvas-apps/gateway-reference
You'll also need a premium license in order to use the gateway.
We can do that but here am using dev share point if we're moving that to production we need to use prod share point so the flow and code we're using won't work in production
so it is possible to create an excel using that collection and download directly
Hi @SumanKoduri ,
Do you want to export collection data from your canvas app into a Excel file directly without using Power Automate flow?
If you want to export collection data from your canvas app into a Excel file directly without using Power Automate flow, I afraid that there is no way to achieve your needs in PowerApps currently.
Currently, within PowerApps, there is no function or solution supported to export a collection data into a Excel file. If you would like this feature to be added, please submit an idea to PowerApps Ideas Forum:
https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Power-Apps-Ideas/idb-p/PowerAppsIdeas
As only available solution, I agree with the solution you mentioned. I think the combination of Power Apps and Power Automate may be the only solution for your scenario.
Best regards,
Yes, hope this idea will get implemented soon.
Is there any way to create an excel file in local file system and download it ?
Hi @SumanKoduri
No, there is no way to create an excel file and to download it onto your local machine.
There is a post in the ideas forum here that you should vote on.
