Is it possible to have a connection not set to the current user?

I have a Power App (canvas, mobile) that uses the following connectors:

  • Office 365 users
  • OneDrive for Business
  • SharePoint

However when I share it with users it asks for permission to use this connectors with THEIR account. I want a specific account in those connectors.

  • Office 365 users (the users account, depending on who's using the app -> fine as it is now)
  • OneDrive for Business (account X, an account that has access to an Excel template in a folder that only it has access)
  • SharePoint (account Y)

Is it possible to preset a connection's account while having the other dynamically set?

Before you share a canvas app, you need to keep in mind that your app is dependent on connections as well. You will have to share the connections as well.

Some of these resources are shared automatically when you share the app. Other resources require you or the people with whom you share the app to take extra steps so that the app works as you expect.

Some connections (such as SQL Server with SQL or Windows authentication) are implicitly shared with the app when you share the app with other users. Other connections require users to create their own connections (such as OneDrive for Business or SQL Server with Azure AD authentication).

You can determine whether a connection is automatically shared as part of the app when you share the app with other users; allowing you to update sharing permissions. To do this, go to and select Data -> Connections from left navigation. Then select the required connection. If the Share button appears on top navigation or if the Share option displays when you select More Commands (...), the selected connection can be shared with other users.

Note: When you share an app that uses a connection that can be shared, the app connection is implicitly shared along with the app. For example, following message appears when you go to, select Apps, choose an app that uses such connection, select More Commands (...) and then select Share.

Hope this helps !
