Is it possible to put an Edit Form control within an Edit Form Custom Card?

I am making a form that is leveraging many separate SharePoint Online lists (all related to a parent list ID, essentially making a relational database out of SharePoint Online custom lists) but I can't seem to insert an Edit Form into a Custom Card (within another Edit Form). Is this possible or a good approach? Or is it better to use a new screen (or a pop up) to do this?

I would think a new screen as a popup would be a better approach.  Either way I don't think you can insert one form in another.
