Is it possible to turn of Explicit Column Selection in Dataverse for Teams?

Is it possible to turn of Explicit Column Selection in Dataverse for Teams?

I can find the on/off switch on make.powerapps.com but not inside Teams.

I am constantly running into issues where not all the necessary columns are stored in to my variable.

I'm updating a part of a record and then storing the updated record to my variable using:

Set(varCourseSettings, LookUp('Course Creations', CourseID = varCourseSettings.CourseID));

Hi @ramzez,

If you just want to show some necessary columns, you could use the ShowColumns() or DropColumns() function to display or drop some columns from the variable.

Best Regards,
Qi

Thank you for the reply.

My plan was to turn of Explicit Column Selection and then use DropColumns to get rid of unnecessary data. However I can't find a setting to turn it off in Dataverse for Teams so DropColumns doesn't help. If I use ShowColumns, I then have to rename all the columns so that my app doesn't break.

Is ShowColumns - RenameColumns my only option here to make sure that all necessary columns are always saved? So basically the following but with 30+ columns.

Set(
    varCourseSettings,
    LookUp(
        RenameColumns(
            ShowColumns(
                'Course Creations',
                "crbc8_courseid"
            ),
            "crbc8_courseid",
            "CourseID"
        ),
        CourseID = varCourseSettings.CourseID
    )
);
