Issue with images

Got an issue where images will show in Chrome, but not on IE or mobile.

The images go to a http:// link, which is obviously accessible by everyone who uses the app.

Is there any limitations with this, e.g. needs to be a https:// link to display?

Thanks in advance

I had a problem where images would show up sometimes and not others. It was because I had been hosting images on Google Drive. But Google Drive was in the process of discontinuing that ability which is why images would appear suddenly and then not.

The images were initially stored in Sharepoint and Onedrive - moved these to our web server & there's been no issues today.

Looks like the images were timing out in IE and FireFox.

Fine to close now.

Hello!

Can you give a little more context for your issue? Perhaps you are creating an Image control and referencing a URL like: Image1.Image = "http://someurl".

Or maybe you are accessing an app using IE? One that was published earlier?

Adding an image control & referencing "http://url/image.png" under the .Image property.

Tried this on:
Chrome - working
IE 11 - Not working
Firefox - Not working

Thanks

I see. Are you trying the same exact image url except with the "s" removed?

For example, I have created an app here in Firefox with two images. One using "https" and one using "http". Both seem to work.

Can you try two things:

1. Duplicate the image you are having a problem with and reference one using http and the other using https. Does only the https one work?

2. Can you try a different image? For example you can try the image I am using below: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/42/Cute-Ball-Go-icon.png

I have created an app in PowerApps using Firefox to test. It contains two image controls: one using "https" and one using "http" to reference the same image.

Can you try two things:

1. Duplicate the image control that you are having issues with. In one control use "https" and use "http" in the other. Does only the https one work?

2. Use a different image in place of the one you are having problems with. You can try the same one I am testing with in my app below: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/42/Cute-Ball-Go-icon.png

Here is a screenshot of the app I mentioned:

Hi Luke,

Just loaded the app to test and all appear to be working properly now.

Looks like it took a few reloads to fetch them across...

Ive tried using https on firefox but having the same issue.

Thanks

If you are unblocked now, I am happy to hear it! Please reply to the thread if you need more assistance. I am still curious to understand why Firefox is still having issues, so if you could post a screenshot with an app similar to one I posted, I would appreciate it. This will help me unblock other users in a similar position.

Thank you!
